At Oakencroft, we believe that the most important part of winemaking happens in the vineyard.  Soil and climate conditions have a distinct influence upon the fruit's characteristics. Our winemaking team uses rigorous and exacting standards in the cellar- using only minimal intervention and meticulous attention to detail. The resulting wines are truly unique - yet distinctively Oakencroft.  All of our wines have the Monticello Viticultural Area label designation and are made only from grapes grown in Virginia. Beautifully floral with hints of peaches and dried apricots.  On the palate the wine is rich and supple nuances of Tropical fruits.  Bottled June 2007.  Drink now through 2009.  274 cases produced. $20.00
NV Countryside White
53% Seyval Blanc  40% Vidal Blanc 7% Viognier and .7% residual sugar.  A blend of Seyval and Vidal fermented completely in stainless steel. Citrusy flavors with a crisp lively acidity. Bottled June 2006. Drink now through 2007. 518 cases produced.  $13.50
2005 Encore
Fermented slowly in French Oak than left to age another 12 months. Fragrant and lush with flavors of peaches and apricots. Very elegant. 70% Vidal 30% Tramminette. Drink now through 2009. 200 cases produced. $25.00
2006 Jefferson Claret
50% Merlot, 20% Chambourcin, 15% Petit Verdot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. This label features Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson , the father of the Virginia’s wine industry. A medium bodied blend with beautiful flavors of cherry, soft accents of mocha, and cedar on the nose. Bottled August 2007. Drink now through 2013. 141 cases produced. $22.00
2006 Merlot
100% Merlot. A nicely balanced medium bodied Merlot. Ripe cherry flavors with subtle oak integration. Aged in French and American oak for 9 months. Bottled August 2007. Drink now through 2012. 123 cases produced. $20.00
NV Countryside Red
50% Tannat, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 5% Chambourcin. Soft and fruity. Drink now through 2009. Bottled June 2007. 775 cases produced. $13.50
