Welcome to Oakencroft ~ celebrating our 25th Anniversary year. We are the oldest winery in Albemarle County and the closest to Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. We are open April through December, seven days a week, from 11am to 5pm.

Our vineyard, in Spring, is in it’s leafy green splendor with the nascent buds heralding the 2008 vintage. The lake fronting our winery, is astir with Canadian and Chinese Geese and our own Blue Heron. Black Angus cows and their new calves feast on the emerging Spring grass.

Excitement reigns in our Tasting Room as we are releasing our long awaited first class red wines, the 2006 vintages of Cabernet Franc Reserve, Chambourcin Estate Reserve and, our ever popular, Merlot Reserve. Also available are Oakencroft’s Gold Medal winners and wines unique to our winery. Our opening tasting event is May 26th, a celebration of our 25th Anniversary and a barbeque feast with LIVE MUSIC by Jimmy O.

The Oakencroft Annual Red, White and Listen to the Blues is July 4th and Tomato/Salsa Fest is July 26th. All events are 11-5 with light fare, live music, tours and tastings.
